Popoulu "Red Trunk" Tongan/Hawaiian Banana live plant
The Red Trunked Popoulu Banana Tree originated from Tonga, but became popular in Hawaii. Its rotund fruit is square on the ends, green-yellow on the outside and its pulp is a salmon-pink color.
